Mr. Postma,

My wife and I are totally disgusted with our Democrat Party. Adam Smith toes the party line (mostly socialist) on every issue. We have had enough!!

We now plan to vote for you. While we can never agree on every bill, in general we want less government, lower taxes, and strong national defense.

We know it requires lots of money to get your name known and your message out. We are of humble means, but will speak on your behalf to friends and contacts.

Mr. Postma,

On oil and drilling I am in favor of a Newt Gingrich type of comprehensive approach. Jets won't fly on windmill energy! The present core of automobiles run on gas, not corn liquor. In the PNWest, a lot of homes are heated by oil and windmills or solar panels are out of the question. This is, I believe, an issue which touches home with our area. As you can see, Adam Smith holds the party line FIRMLY! In fact he seems to go beyond them by saying it would take "20 years" for more drilling to have an impact. For a moderate, this email shows him to be quite the opposite and certainly out of touch with his district.

As an additional note, a congress which will increase capital gains taxes will discourage private funding for new enterprises and guarantee that people like Pickens will get massive amounts of our tax money to make their plans work (limp?) rather than American ingenuity and investment.

I've voted for Rep Smith in the past, but it was when I thought he was a non-partisan moderate. He has a proven record today as a party line hack. Go get him.
