I am running to win in 2010
First I want to give a big round of thanks to all the volunteers, donors and voters who worked and voted for my election. We did not prevail, but we did make a difference. Some of my ideas and programs found their way into other candidates programs at all levels. This is what it is all about, getting some reasonable laws implemented and protecting the ones we have. It is possible to get elected with a stronger campaign if Obama does badly as I expect.
The results are not official yet (November 16), but I appear to have 35% of the votes cast with 39% in Pierce County. This is not good but it is about the same as John McCain did in my district. If McCain and Rossi had run stronger, I would have had a better result.
When I registered to run in 2008, I also committed to 2010. I have not changed on this so I am starting the 2010 campaign now. The Kickoff meeting will be on Wednesday, November 19, at 7:00PM at the Pierce County Republican headquarters at 739 St Helens Ave, Tacoma. We will review 2008 and plan for 2010. All interested persons are invited and there is no obligation .

The elections of 2008 have been called by both parties the most important one in our time. From my standpoint, Obama/ Smith will continue to move us in the direction of a socialist state but at a much faster rate. Their attack on the rich is an example of the exploitation of a class struggle. This class struggle does not exist in America. The rich do not exploit the poor. There is nothing wrong with being rich in America. It is the American dream. Why do so many people play the lottery? Why do poor people from all over the world want to come to America? So they can become rich. The third highest category of the Mexican GDP is money sent back to Mexico by illegal immigrants. They are rich by Mexican standards.
The middle class needs the rich in America. Our system needs the money of the rich to fund the corporations and businesses that provide our jobs. If Obama/Smith "Spreads the Wealth" and takes this money away, you will lose your job and have to work in a government provided job or take welfare. This is their objective. Of course then you will feel compelled to vote for them. This is the total strategy of the Democratic Party to gain political power.
The prospect of an Obama presidency, is creating a depression in this country. All of their economic programs will make the recession worse and will give them an apparent mandate which they will assume for more radical action. Their protectionist programs to renegotiate NAFTA and WTO is all ready driving our trading partners in the Americas and Europe to seek other trading partners which will hurt our economy and reduce our standard of living.
Democrats attack the Bush administration and blame him for all our problems. They never justify this statement or provide any proof of it. The media is working to create this image. Our current economic problems began when the Democrats gained control of Congress in 2006. This happened because the War in Iraq was going badly. It looks like there will be a successful ending to this war. We are not spending 10 billion dollars a month in Iraq. 140,000 troops is not a large army. When we bring the troops home, we will not fire them and junk their weapons. We will still need this army. More people are murdered in Chicago than the troop deaths in Iraq.
This Congress has a 9% approval rating. They are responsible for the collapse in the housing market. President Bush was elected and reelected by the American people for good reason. Congress passes laws and their failure has caused the current mess.
Congress is standing in the way of an American energy policy to develop our energy resources. The Democrats program will not put gasoline in your car and there is no substitute for it. We spend 700 billion dollars a year for oil imports some of which go to people who do not like us and are working against us. We can grow our economy by producing this oil in America. The environmentalist argument against oil is bad science and is not true. The world is not going to end because you are using gasoline.
Joe Biden says that an Obama presidency will be tested by other nations. This is all ready happening because of an expected Obama victory. This would not happen with a McCain presidency. Russia and Venezuela are moving against us.They perceive Obama as being weak. This happened during the Jimmy Carter administration. At one time we were losing two countries a week to the influence of the USSR and we had interest rates of 16%. When Ronald Reagan took office this all stopped and America had unprecedented prosperity. However, we are still suffering from the Carter policies especially in Iran where Carter allowed the Shah of Iran to be overthrown by Islamic extremists.
Obama/Smith want to ratify the UN Gun Control measure and take our guns away. They want to send the UN 845 billion dollars of our money for world poverty. We have enemies in the UN who would use this money against us. This would be the largest transfer of wealth in history and we cannot afford it.

I am looking for 200,000 patriots who will ignore the onslaught of socialist propaganda from the media and vote for me for Congress. I will fight for our American Republic which for 232 years has preserved our freedoms. Your congressman Adam Smith is leading the socialist charge for Barack Obama in this state. I believe that Mr Obama could not get a security clearance to work at Boeing with his radical background yet he wants to be your president. There is no security clearance or background check required to be president or member of congress. Mr. Smith says that the only requirement to get elected as President is "to get the votes", The Seattle Times, September 30. I have held a Secret Clearance with the Department of Defense for 30 years.
The 9th District is a swing district. It has lots of independents, moderates, and a mixture of Republicans and Democrats. Mr. Smith represents himself as a moderate new democrat but he votes 96% with his liberal, socialist Democratic party. He spends most of his time running for office. He talks the talk but does not walk the walk. The only legislation he has sponsored in 12 years in the congress calls for our country to give $845 billion to the United Nations. 37% of congressmen want to nationalize the oil industry. His congress has a 9% approval rating. It is time for a change. Please elect James Postma to congress. My polls show that I was ahead of Mr. Smith after the Republican convention. The election is now too-close-to-call.
the Bailout
Fannie Mae was conceived during the great depression to make housing more affordable by easing loan requirements. Later Freddie Mac was added to compete with Fannie Mae. During the Clinton administration, loan requirements were relaxed to enable more people to become homeowners. The banks were pressured to make these subprime loans, Fannie Mae guaranteed them, and Wall Street packaged the loans into securities which were sold worldwide. These loan packages have become known as "Toxic Waste" which is tearing down our financial system. The bailout enables the treasury to buy up to $700 billion of this toxic waste to try to stop the financial meltdown and another great depression.
Now is the time to change the financial system to one that represents the American people and not a banking system run by a private bank with anonymous owners. The US treasury should control our money, not the Federal Reserve. The Fed has inflated our money so that the dollar is worth only five cents. Everyone wants more money because we have been cheated by inflation.
Taxes
The government taxes us on this inflation by a capital gains tax. Hillary Clinton wants us "to give all our money to the government when we die." Barack Obama wants to tax the rich. Joe Biden wants to control the export of money. These policies are straight out of Karl Marx Communist Manifesto. Communism died in the USSR in 1992. China will fail within ten years; maybe only two. Don't let the socialist decay take us down. Vote for James Postma on November 4th.
