The corruption and control of Washington State politics reaches a new low with the current negotiations with the public employee labor unions. These unions use their members fees to contribute to the Democrats campaign funds and campaign to elect them. In turn the unions are rewarded with fat contracts and government expansion to hire more state employees. http://www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArticles.aspx?id=306024671310400

Investors Business Daily reveals that Barack Obama Sr. was a communist who tried to convert Kenya into a Communist nation in 1967. Obama's best selling book, "Dreams From My Father", only mentions that his father was thrown out of the Kenya government for not keeping his mouth shut. The IBD article suggests that Obama learned a lesson from his father and is keeping his mouth shut about the true nature of his changes.

Speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi declines to consider new oil and gas production and literally turns out the lights in congress. She wants us to use wind power instead but does not explain how that will put fuel in our cars. It is later revealed that she has a serious conflict-of-interest on this issue as she is personally heavily invested in two wind power companies.

Candidate Postma travels to Alaska on a fact finding mission to investigate the claims and counter claims regarding the time it will take for new oil production. After discussions with congressmen and regulators, he found that the oil companies could have oil in the pipeline at Prudoe Bay from ANWR in two years. Native American concerns, environmental concerns, bid process, three levels of permitting, and legal challenges could delay the production for up to five years. It was stated that this process could not be fast tracked. Candidate Postma feels those opposed to the ANWR will keep it stalled in the legal system keeping due process tied up in the courts. It was stated that this process could not be fast tracked. Candidate Postma recommends that the President declare that an energy emergency exists and publish an executive order that allows the oil production process to proceed now while all the other concerns are satisfied .

Congressman Adam Smith repeals the basic laws of economics. In his News Tribune interview he is quoted as saying "The Republicans are lying by saying that drilling for oil will reduce the price." The first law of economics is that increasing the supply, will reduce the price. This is in every basic economics textbook. Just the possibility of the US using its oil reserves drove the price of a barrel of oil from $147 to $123 when President Bush removed the federal moratorium on oil production and asked Congress to do the same.

Barack Obama leans to the center of the political spectrum to the dismay of his socialist backers. This is good and bad. Maybe he is not the radical socialist he displayed in the primaries and is just another politician who will say anything to anyone to get their vote.

James Postma calls for Congress and the President to repeal the moratorium on oil and gas production in certain ecologically protected areas. An economic emergency exists because of the consequences of high oil and gas prices. Candidate Postma also calls for a comprehensive energy development program to get the economy back on track, especially using current nuclear technology which is safer and cleaner than older technology.

Candidate Postma calls for background checks by the Department of Defense and security clearances for all Federal candidates. As a defense engineer, he held a Secret Clearance and other high level clearances. Incredibly, there is no such check for candidates for Congress or President. They merely swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States. With Barack Obama's background, there are serious concerns that he could obtain a secret clearance but he wants to have his hand on the nuclear button.

James Postma files for the position of U.S. congressional District 9 (Prefers Republican Party) against incumbent congressman Adam Smith (Prefers Democratic Party). James promises a strong issues campaign for traditional Americanism and capitalism, in opposition to the leaping socialism of the Democratic Party candidates. No other candidates file. James promises to stand firm on the issues and not play politics to gather votes. His motto is "One Man telling the truth, is more powerful than guns or money."

Barack Obama's campaign slogan is "Change You Can Believe In." Judging from the radical socialist positions he advocates it should be "Unbelievable Change" and could result in the United States of America becoming the United Socialist States of America. In Obama's writings he states a preference for Muslim over Israel, total gun control, black supremacy, government take over of the health care system, immediate withdrawal from Iraq, a preference for socialist dictators in South America, etc.

In the New Hampshire primary, the democratic candidates contest with who can push for the most socialist programs to gather support from the radical left. It is topped by Hillary Clinton when she states on national television during the debate that "everyone should give their entire estate to the government when they die". A 100% estate tax. This is the tenth plank of the Communist Manifesto by Carl Marx that "The right to inheritance shall be abolished."
