Can I be elected / why should you contribute to my campaign?

My polls show that I am now competitive. I was actually ahead after the convention and now it is too-close-to-call. For me, the ideas and the quality of our government are paramount. The election and electioneering is to improve the quality of our government rather than my personal gain. I will have great influence on the political process from this web site and in person and I will keep the pressure on congress to do the right thing. I know that I will be elected in 2008 and/or 2010. This is a two year campaign.

I need volunteers for telephoning and doorbelling in these critical last few days of the campaign.

One man speaking the truth is more powerful than guns or money

You may think of some people throughout history who did this. I hope to hold up this high standard. My political enemies will attempt to discredit me but the truth will win out. Also I do not have all the answers to all issues. Please feel free to comment on my campaign and the issues. I will listen to you and need you to build momentum..

But the truth must reach the public

My campaign budget is $150,000 and I need 150,000+ votes to win. So every $1 you give is worth 1 vote. Please contribute what you can. People ask me how much should I give? That depends on your financial circumstances and how serious you are about your politics. if you are very concerned, give all you can within your comfort level.

What if I do not live in the 9th congressional district?

I can still represent you. I will be a strong voice in congress and on the Internet for the causes enumerated above.

I have supporters from many other states including California and Illinois. If you live nearby, like in the Tacoma area, you can still volunteer and there are some things you can do if you are not in the 9th district.

What if I am not a Republican?

I need votes from democrats and independents to win my district. You can keep your party affiliation. Here is a letter from a Democrat for Postma.

My wife and I are totally disgusted with our Democrat Party. Adam Smith toes the party line (mostly socialist) on every issue. We have had enough!! We now plan to vote for you. While we can never agree on every bill, in general we want less government, lower taxes, and strong national defense. We know it requires lots of money to get your name known and your message out. We are of humble means, but will speak on your behalf to friends and contacts.
