I am running to win in 2010
I am working to preserve our freedoms by opposing big government control and spending.
One man speaking the truth is more powerful than guns or money.
Government spending is out of control. The bailout, the stimulus, increase in Federal Reserve powers,
are going to make the economy worse. This huge increase in spending will make our money worth less and increase
interest rates.
The New Deal programs prevented recovery in the 1930s. We did not recover until after WWII.
We need less government, not more.
Today we work 55% to pay government and 45% for ourselves.
60% of Americans receive more from government than they pay in taxes. The top 10% of taxpayers pay 80% of taxes.
We have become a welfare society. Why work when the government will support you?
If you accept this system, the government will control you and you will lose your freedoms.
Our entitlement programs, including social security and Medicare, are out of control and will exceed government
revenues soon leaving no money for defense and other programs.
GM took the bailout and the government took over GM to preserve union benefits. There will be more bailouts and
more government takeovers. NWA went into bankruptcy and recovered without a bailout. GM could have done the same.
Here is the difference. You invest your money and get interest. The government taxes you and spends the money.
Taxation is negative interest. When the government gets control, the economy dies. All of the communist countries
have failed or will fail. The exception is China because they are using free market policies,
but they cannot continue to have economic freedom without political freedom. They will fail within 10 years, maybe
within 2 years. The collapse of the USSR was sudden and swift.
The socialist countries of Europe and Canada appear to have a good life but are near the point of economic failure.
Socialism is negative compound interest. When it reaches critical mass, it just explodes. Our system has lasted
233 years but is being dragged down by excessive government.
Today confidence in our system is shaken by a recession. Some would blame the free market and Wall Street calling
for more government control. This recession was caused by too much credit expansion and inflation by the
Federal Reserve and government programs.
Congress has the constitutional requirement to manage our money.
It should take control of the financial system away from the Federal Reserve and make it responsive to the people.
The Federal Reserve is a private bank in control of our money that is accountable to no one.
Our foreign policy has no clear objectives. We are fighting an endless undeclared war on who and what? It is subject
to political pressure and will end in failure like the Korean and the Vietnam War because the people will tire of it.
The government has taken permanent wartime powers and reduced our freedoms with the Patriot Act.
On December 8, 1941 we declared war and finished it in four years. On September 12, 2001 we did nothing except talk.
Eight years later, we are still seeking a solution and are mired down in politics.
We are not using our technology for our benefit. Extremists in the environmental movement would have us believe that
the world will end if we use our cars. This is totally false. Global Warming and Climate Change are political movements and
have no basis in fact. We have the energy reserves to become independent of unreliable foreign sources. It should be
a matter of national security to develop them creating jobs and helping the economy. The electric car has been
competing with gasoline for 100 years and has always lost. We need gasoline for our cars and airplanes.
We developed atomic power and then gave it to France. We stopped advanced aircraft. There have been no advances in
commercial aviation since the jet. The extreme environmentalists are standing in the way of
technological advances which could revolutionize the way we live.
Thank you for your consideration. I appreciate your confidence in me and your vote. Consider becoming politically
active by financial and time contributions to support the cause of freedom. All of us may wish that we had done more
now to create a better world while we are free to do so.
the Bailout
Fannie Mae was conceived during the great depression to make housing more affordable by easing loan requirements. Later Freddie Mac was added to compete with Fannie Mae. During the Clinton administration, loan requirements were relaxed to enable more people to become homeowners. The banks were pressured to make these subprime loans, Fannie Mae guaranteed them, and Wall Street packaged the loans into securities which were sold worldwide. These loan packages have become known as "Toxic Waste" which is tearing down our financial system. The bailout enables the treasury to buy up to $700 billion of this toxic waste to try to stop the financial meltdown and another great depression.
Now is the time to change the financial system to one that represents the American people and not a banking system run by a private bank with anonymous owners. The US treasury should control our money, not the Federal Reserve. The Fed has inflated our money so that the dollar is worth only five cents. Everyone wants more money because we have been cheated by inflation.
Taxes
The government taxes us on this inflation by a capital gains tax. Hillary Clinton wants us "to give all our money to the government when we die." Barack Obama wants to tax the rich. Joe Biden wants to control the export of money. These policies are straight out of Karl Marx Communist Manifesto. Communism died in the USSR in 1992. China will fail within ten years; maybe only two. Don't let the socialist decay take us down.
